Never Smelled Oud Before

Most of the world has never worn pure oud. There is no shame in that — for a thousand years it did not leave the Gulf. What follows is what we would tell you across a table, with a bottle open between us.
What does it actually smell like?
Amber, warm wood, smoke, and something faintly sweet underneath. Not fruit, not flowers, not fresh linen. If you know sandalwood, oud is its darker and more complicated relative. If you know incense in an old room, you are closer still.
Each of our ouds sits somewhere different along that range. Layl Al Oud is nocturnal and still. Oud Al Nasab is formal and clean. Nadr Al Oud is wild and story-laden. Malik is unhurried and absolute. The family is the same; the character is not. Each product page tells you where that bottle stands.
Why isn’t it a spray?
There is no alcohol in the bottle. Nothing but agarwood resin oil — no carriers, no fixatives, no synthetics. Alcohol is what makes a perfume atomise and project; without it, oud is applied rather than sprayed. This is how oud has always been worn in the Gulf, and it is why one bottle lasts years instead of months.
How do I wear it, exactly?
Draw the glass wand from the bottle. Touch one drop to the inside of your wrist. Do not rub — press your wrists together once and let it sit. For more presence, add a drop at the hollow of the throat or behind the ear.

How much should I use?
One drop. It is genuinely enough. Most first-time wearers use three or four and spend the next day surprised at themselves. Start with one, wait an hour, and add only then.
How long does it last?
It depends on the line. The Collection holds 12 to 14 hours on warm skin from a single application — put it on in the morning and it is still there at the end of the evening. The Imperial holds in excess of 24 hours — you will still be wearing it the following evening. That is what the higher concentration buys you.
On fabric both last considerably longer — the smoke of oud clings to clothing for three to five days.
What is a Discovery Bottle?

Nadhor Oud — عود ندر · The Collection
This is the House in its most direct form. Amber, warm wood, smoke, and a sweetness that arrives late and stays. Not the sweetness of a sprayed perfume — older than that, and closer to the tree it came from.
The first ten minutes are sharp — smoke first, the way real ember-cured agarwood always opens. It settles. Do not judge the oud here.
By the thirtieth minute it has turned skin-warm and quiet, and it holds. Twelve to fourteen hours from one drop — a full day’s wear from the morning — and longer than that on a collar.
One drop is a complete wearing. There is no alcohol in the bottle to carry it across a room, and none is wanted. This is worn close, and noticed by people who are close.

Oud Al Nasab — عود النسب · The Collection
The formal one. Clean balsam and dry warm wood, with less smoke than you may be expecting — this is the oud you wear into a room where you are being assessed rather than admired.
The first ten minutes are still sharp. All real agarwood opens that way. This one settles into something composed rather than wild.
After thirty minutes it is polished, woody, faintly sweet and entirely steady. Twelve to fourteen hours from a single drop, and considerably longer than that on a shirt collar.
One drop is a complete wearing. Pure oud has no alcohol to project it, which is precisely why it reads as authority instead of announcement. People notice it when they shake your hand.

Nadr Al Oud — ندر العود · The Collection
The wild one. The least tame bottle in The Collection — deep amber, dark velvet wood, smoke, and something addictive beneath it — the note wild oud carries and a polite fragrance never will.
The first ten minutes are the most demanding in the House — rain on hot earth, leather worn soft against the body, smoke with real depth. If you have only ever smelled a synthetic oud accord, this stage will be new to you, and it is the clearest proof of what is actually in the bottle. It settles.
After thirty minutes it becomes dense, honeyed and story-laden — the reason this bottle gets opened and explained rather than simply worn. Twelve to fourteen hours from one drop.

The night one. Warm amber and dark wood with the smoke turned down — still, cool at the opening, more private than anything else in The Collection.
The first ten minutes carry the sharpness every pure agarwood carries. Here it passes quickly.
By the thirtieth minute it is low and skin-warm, a sweetness folded into dark wood, unhurried, and it stays. Twelve to fourteen hours from a single drop — put it on at dusk and it is still with you when you wake.

The intimate one. Warm honey, soft smoke, and a sweetness that sits closer to the skin than anything else in The Imperial.
The first ten minutes open sharp, as all real agarwood does — then close in rather than expand.
After thirty minutes it is confessional: warm, silken, worn at the throat and found by one person rather than by a room. In excess of 24 hours from a single drop, as all of The Imperial holds.

The sovereign one. Deep amber, polished dark wood, smoke, and a slow sweetness that arrives without hurry. The most absolute scent in the House.
The first ten minutes are smoky and sharp. This is ember-cured agarwood at Imperial concentration, and it settles into something that does not ask permission.
After thirty minutes it is dense, warm, unhurried and immovable. In excess of 24 hours from one drop, and three to five days on fabric.

The lifted Imperial. Luminous amber and warm wood with a cleaner, brighter opening than Malik — glory rather than weight.
The first ten minutes are sharp and smoky. Every pure agarwood oil is, and this one clears faster than most.
By the thirtieth minute it is warm, refined, golden and steady, and it holds in excess of 24 hours from a single drop.

The heaviest one. Molten amber, ember-cured wood, smoke, and a sweetness that takes its time and then stays beyond a full day.
The first ten minutes are the deepest opening in The Imperial — slow smoke, molten amber, real weight to it. It does not remain. It settles into something far finer.
After thirty minutes it is enormous but quiet: warm, dark, velvet-sweet, entirely settled. In excess of 24 hours from a single drop, and three to five days on anything you were wearing while you wore it.
One drop is a complete wearing. Two is generous. This oud is worn close by design, and it is the one people lean in to place.

Why are all sales final?
Because scent is not a defect. What an oud does on your skin is not what it does on ours, and preference, projection and longevity are the nature of pure oud oil rather than faults in it. Accepting returns on opened oud would also mean reselling it, which we will not do.
What if I genuinely don’t get along with my bottle?
Write to us before you conclude anything. Tell us what you smelled, when, and on which skin — often the answer is application, or the wrong oud rather than the wrong house. If we cannot resolve it, we will issue credit toward another bottle in The Collection or The Imperial.

Is it safe on skin? Is it halal?
Pure agarwood resin oil, nothing added. No alcohol, which makes it suitable for wear during prayer. As with any concentrated natural oil, place a single drop on the inner forearm first if your skin is sensitive.
